Our Independence Day Hangout Was a Huge Success.

This year’s Independence Day hangout was everything I hoped it would be  and even more. From the moment we kicked things off, there was just this sense of warmth in the atmosphere. Laughter, and excitement from people in attendance made the day truly special.

We started with introductions, where everyone shared their names, what they do, their hobbies, and one fun fact about themselves. You’d think that part would be simple, but oh, it quickly turned into pure entertainment. There were jokes flying around about football clubs and their fans, debates about favorite book genres, and even that one moment when someone proudly confessed their love for dark romance novels and it became a flying joke where everyone whose hobby was reading was asked if they loved dark romance too. Let me tell you now, I didn’t know “being in the box” was a thing until people started asking for relationsip status. LOL. There were talks about being “single”, “in the market, in the box (which for my fellow novices means being in an undefined kind of relationship), and never dating again.” Let’s just say the bants were flowing non-stop!

After that, we had a storytelling session where each person shared a fun memory or an unforgettable story from their past. It was amazing to see how much joy and connection can come from people opening up and laughing together. Some stories were hilarious, others heartwarming. But all of them made us feel closer as a community.

And of course, no hangout is complete without games. As promised, the PS4 kept the guys locked in intense battles, while others spread out to Scrabble, Chess, Whot, and good old Ludo. I’ll be honest, my Ludo game didn’t go so well, and yes, I got my ass handed to me!

But that’s the beauty of it. It didn’t matter if you were winning, losing, or just watching. There was laughter everywhere. Some people hopped between multiple games, while others spent the time in deep conversations, connecting with new faces and sharing ideas.

When it was time for refreshments, we kept it simple but satisfying: meatpies, eggrolls, chilled drinks, and water. Everyone gathered to munch, chat, and just soak in the vibes.

But the highlight for me was when our CEO called in all the way from Canada via Google Meet. That moment was powerful. It showed just how much this hangout meant for Meluora Hub. That even across continents, the sense of community was strong enough to bring us together.

Honestly, the whole experience was fun, refreshing, and unforgettable. For me, it wasn’t just a hangout, it was a reminder of what community really looks like: laughter, connection, and moments you’ll carry with you long after the day is done.

If you’ve read up to this point, it means you really enjoyed reliving this hangout with me. Now I’d love to hear from you: what was your favorite fun moment, or what did you enjoy the most? Drop it in the comments  let’s keep the vibe alive.
